Hope you liked our previous e-patra. This is the second patra. We will attempt to send one in the first week of every month. We had some difficulty in setting up proper e-mail account to handle mass mailing. Because of that we had to change our e-mail address a couple of times. GANESHA HABBA, September 13, 2003
Our Ganesha Habba celebration is set for Saturday, September 13, 10 am to 2 pm. This year it will be held at the beautiful new Shri Ram Mandir at Hwy. 10 and Derry Road in Mississauga. More details were sent in the Newsletter and also available on the web site: http://kstoronto.tripod.com . We will have Pooja, Bhajans, Children's Ganesha colouring contest, prasada and so on. Come and participate in large numbers. Please call 905-737-9040 for details, offer to cook, transportation details etc.
CHIILDREN UNDER 13: DO NOT FORGET TO PRINT A PICTURE OF THE ATTACHED DANCING GANESHA, COLOUR IT NICELY AND BRING IT TO GANESHA HABBA WHEN YOU COME - FOR JUDGING AND PRIZES. You have to colour it at home by yourself. You can also get the picture from our web page.

KANNADIAN OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT - rescheduled for September 14.
Since the planned date came on  a long weekend the annual Golf Tournament has been rescheduled for Sunday, Sept.14, at 12.30 PM at the Executive Fairways Golf Course in Milton. NADAHABBA:
This year our NADAHABBA  celebration will be held right on the Rajyotsava Day -- November 1, 2003 at  Port Credit Secondary School, Mississauga. Please keep the day free.  More details of the timing and programs will be sent in the Newsletter. Anyone interested in providing good group entertainment items please contact Bhamini  or Vaishali  as soon as possible. Let us get organized and display a fabulous program. The function being held on Rajyotsava day - the theme for this year's program is: SPLENDOUR OF KARNATAKA. Please come up with great ideas and programs.

INDIA OBSERVER - FIRST ANNIVERSARY
BV Communications is organizinng the First Anniversary function of the India Observer Newspaper on September 14, 2003 at the Faculty of Architecture Auditorium, University of Toronto, 230 College Street, Toronto. The function will be held between 4 and 7 pm. A seminar on "Media Role in the Development of Indo-Canadian Community" with prominent panel members and an entertainment program are planned. KALA --- Special issue on Karnataka
Kala, a Toronto based art magazine is proud to release their special Oct 2003 issue on Karnataka (to be released on Nadahabba day). A team of six KS Toronto members were  nominated as Guest editors for this issue. With their combined effort, Kala is raising funds and collecting articles for this special issue. Kala is still accepting art-oriented articles (no more than 1200 words). At the same time, Kala is also solicitiing donors and advertisers to come forward and support this ambitious venture.
